The letters contained in this book are letters written from a father, who if he were on his death bed, would say these very same things to his daughters. Ironically, Whyte commenced the writing of these letters while he was in the hospital undergoing a routine checkup for chest pains. Although the letters contained in this book are directed towards young black women, they speak to all young women.
