Many of us have allowed ourselves to be deceived into thinking that we cannot enjoy life to its fullest unless we get married. That is far from the truth. Ed Houston in Single and Living Free, discloses the truth about living single yet being free through Jesus Christ: "Free," according to Houston means, "free in the liberty of Jesus Christ, free of strongholds, and free of habit."

Houston, a single for some years now, is a voice worth taking heed to. He shares with us the struggles he had to overcome as a Christian single young man. Yes, Christians do have struggles, too. He struggled with trying to fit in. Little by little he compromised. He was doing things in the dark hoping those things would not come to the light. In order to be released from the struggles of single hood you have to have an attitude of confession because no matter how much others may point out your bad habit, it is not until you truly see those bad habit yourself that you can have any hope of deliverance.

According to Houston, as a single, the enemy works behind the scenes in your life in four stages: Lure, Seduction, Distraction, and Entrapment. Using Lure, the devil tries to trap you with things that are attractive. Seduction is like infatuation that plays out in your mind, which is the true battlefield. Distraction is when your spirit realizes something is wrong and is out of balance with God's Holy Sprit. At this stage, you take on a 'holier than thou' attitude, and the resistance to fight against right and wrong is slowly dying day by day while the stronghold gets stronger. You are in the Entrapment stage when you begin to ask yourself, how did I get here?

Single and Living Free is an eye-opener and will set many free from the bondage the devil is holding many singles under.
