If you are wondering why is it that Christians and especially those who
seem to be in the front of the Christian army are falling by the
wayside; if you wondering why is it that you are living a defeated
Christian life, then The Spirit of Assassination has the answers.
Yvonne Capehart, in a simple yet anointed way, gives the reason behind
the falling of Christians out of the Christian army. Not only does she
give the reason, she also tells us how to get up and to get back on the
road to recovery. According to Capehart as soldiers in Christ’s
army we fall into two groups: (1) snipers or marksmen, and (2)
sharpshooters. Snipers shoot to kill. As snipers we must shoot to kill
the enemy. Sharpshooters know how to sacrifice and they operate under
strict authority.
I love how she broke down for us Hezekiah’s near death
experience. One thing Capehart mentioned is, we have to approach God in
the right way. “If we approach Him (God) in an accusing
way—why did He allow this terrible thing to happen—we
won’t get far” (pg. 186). After thinking about it, she is
so right.
This book will help you to grow by leaps and bounds in your Christian walk. A must read.
